Search has split into three overlapping jobs. Getting all three right does not require three separate strategies, but it does help to understand what each one actually is.
SEO: earning a place in search results
Search engine optimization is the foundation: a website Google can crawl, index and understand, with content that matches what people actually search for. Technical health, page speed, structured data and relevant content all sit under this umbrella.
AEO: earning the direct answer
Answer engine optimization is about winning the featured snippet, the voice assistant's spoken answer, or the "People also ask" box. It rewards content that states a clear, complete answer near the top of a page, in the same words a person would ask the question.
GEO: earning the AI's trust
Generative engine optimization is the newest of the three: making it more likely that tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude describe your business accurately, or cite it, when someone asks them a relevant question. Nobody outside those companies can guarantee inclusion, but a consistent, well-documented, easy-to-verify business is much easier for an AI system to describe correctly than one with contradictory information scattered across the web.
SEO, AEO and GEO are not three different jobs. They are three different audiences reading the same well-structured, honest information about your business.

What this means practically
- Write content that answers a real question clearly, near the top of the page
- Keep your business name, address and phone number identical everywhere they appear online
- Use structured data so machines, not just people, can read your key facts
- Earn genuine reviews and mentions, since both search engines and AI systems treat them as a trust signal
This is exactly the structure used across the service pages on this site, including the SEO expert in Hyderabad page, as a working example rather than just a description.
